Interesting video. I grew a Banksia Serrata “Pygmy Possum” once. When I shifted house I dug it up and put it in a pot. When I cut most of the foliage back I discovered it had a great potential as a Bonsai specimen.
It had a short, swollen trunk with cascading branches and probably would have looked great in a tall pot.
I think Australian Natives make great Bonsai specimens I currently have Banksia Integrifolia that I’ve had in a pot for about the last 6 years so I’m contemplating maybe Bonsaiing it.
